All You Need is Family

Image result for quotes about family

When the world feels a little too crazy. Or my job feels a little too overwhelming. I always think of one thing: family.

My family is the first people I think about in the morning and last people I pray about in the evening. I even say the same prayer that my mom & dad would say to me growing up.

And even though family can get a little messy. We may fight. We may get frustrated with each other. There will be highs and there will be lows, but we are still a family.

I love my family whom I miss every day while I live up here in this mountain snow globe. I compare it to a snow globe this year because I am surrounded by a blanket of white and snow-peaked mountains.

I realize how spoiled I was growing up. I lived only about 20 minutes away from both of my grandparents. Thanksgivings were a house-full. My parents supported our family in so many ways it’s crazy! My brother & I grew up only one grade a part and shared mutual friends. Sometimes I realize that I may have not appreciated it as much then as I do now. But of course, I was only a kid or a dramatic teen when I actually lived under my family’s roof. Isn’t that weird? We had 18 full years of living with your family and then you go off to college like your “so independent”. Then – I got married. Lived with a boy for the first time in my life. My family grew.

The thing is – all you need is family. No matter who you call or include as your family. You have family. You need family.

When life gets you down or someone breaks your heart. When the world feels a little too crazy. Or a little too small. Think about your family.

Be blessed every single day.

Wake up and wish them a safe and wonderful day.

Send a prayer at night to say how much you love them.

All You Need is Family.

As always, thanks for reading! Enjoy the holidays and drink lots of hot cocoa.

xoxo,

Tori
